NIOSH Seeks Public Comment on Standard Applications Procedures (SAP)

NIOSH’s National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), Respirator Branch, has announced a meeting for all respirator manufacturers on July 21, 2005, at the Holiday Inn Select Pittsburgh South, 164 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, Penn. This will follow the NIOSH/NPPTL CBRN CC SCBA meeting that will be held at the same venue July 19 and 20. An agenda is being developed and will be posted in the near future. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will adjourn by 3:00 p.m.

Topics to be addressed include discussion of the Standard Application Procedures (SAP) comments, moving forward to implement release of the procedures, new NPPTL and Respirator Branch organizational structures, and followup on replacement documents.
