| NIOSH Signs MOU with Federal Fire Administration |
NIOSH and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) November 21, 2005, to identify collaborative efforts the two agencies can undertake with the goal of improving safety and health conditions for firefighters throughout the U.S. The primary focus of the agreement involves fostering the use of findings and recommendations from the NIOSH Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program in USFA firefighter training materials and programs. The agreement was signed by NIOSH Director John Howard, M.D., and U.S. Fire Administrator R. David Paulison.
