Automation & Controls Symposium 2010

  • What: The ASNE Automation & Controls Symposium 2010 has been established to serve as a forum for the exchange of innovative ideas relating to the automation and integration of naval machinery and ship control systems. The symposium promotes the exchange of ideas and information in a professional engineering environment with attendees from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Military Sealift Command, industry, and academia. The theme for Automation & Controls Symposium 2010 is "Commonality and Open Architecture for Naval Ship Control Systems."

NDIA Special Missions Conference

Resource Rendezvous 2010

  • What: The 4th Annual Resource Rendezvous will bring together researchers, grant writers, business leaders, and other professionals. Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium

  • What: Working under the theme "Collaborating to Rapidly Provide Superior, Integrated Capabilities to Our Warfighters," the Michigan Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is pleased to announce that registration is open for the 2010 Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS). "GVSETS provides an important venue for government, academic and industry participants to present cutting-edge research, establish critical links between programs, and establish a scientific foundation for pursuing current and future military technologies," said Chuck Prikopa, GVSETS chairman and NDIA Michigan Chapter director. "We encourage any organization involved in ground vehicle technology development to consider submitting a technical paper and participating in this event.

Public Tours of NASA's Glenn Research Center

  • What: NASA's Glenn Research Center invites the general public to tour its laboratory and testing facilities. Tours are free to all ages and available to U.S. citizens. Reservations are required and can be made up to 30 days in advance, but must be made at least one day in advance of the actual tour. The schedule of facilities to be visited during each tour is available here.
  • When: First and third Saturday of each month between April and October, departing hourly between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. from the Visitors Center.
