Dear Colleagues: I'm excited by all of the events scheduled throughout the rest of the year. First, I'd like to thank TARDEC for agreeing to share space with the Midwest Region at this year's SAE World Congress. The Congress will be held April 19-22 in Detroit, Michigan.
In May we'll be joining the World's Best Technologies Showcase at the FLC national meeting in Arlington, Texas. As always, I'm looking forward to an exciting and informative program. Please be sure to attend our regional session on Wednesday afternoon. In August we'll be holding our regional meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Millennium Hotel will be the site for two days of discussion on technology transfer practices, stories, and perspectives. The dates of the meeting are Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23, 2007. We will be holding an Awards Luncheon on the second day. Nominations for the 2007 Midwest Region awards will open April 15. If you are interested in serving on this year's Awards Committee, please contact Ken. We'll be attending other events throughout the Region. However, if there are events that you think the Midwest Region should be a part of (either as an attendee or as a speaker), please let me, Kristen, or Ken know.
