Dear Colleagues: This year is going to be a busy one! In April we'll have elections for the positions of Regional Coordinator and Deputy Regional Coordinator. Although Jim and I are willing to serve second terms, we would encourage anyone who is interested to step up and run. Nominations should be open by the time you read this, but if you have any questions, contact Ken. Our 2010 regional meeting will be at the DoubleTree Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin, August 17-19, 2010. The theme this year is "Securing Our Energy Future." If you have topic ideas or speaker recommendations, please contact Ken, Jim, or me. The meeting will follow our typical format—welcome reception on the evening of the 17th, sessions on Wednesday the 18th, and a tour on the 19th. This year we'll be touring the Forest Products Laboratory, which is celebrating its centennial. I hope to see you at both the national meeting in April and our regional meeting in August! Kristen
